& Conditions

For events and services facilitated by The Hungry Feminine.

The following is a list of policies pertaining to services rendered by Vanessa Setteducato as an agent of The Hungry Feminine.

While I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#119184) in the state of California, I am not operating in the capacity of a therapist for coaching, consultation, support groups, and various events held by The Hungry Feminine. For therapy services in California, please visit my THFTherapy website

Coaching, consultation, support groups, in-person retreats, reading groups, and other events and services facilitated by The Hungry Feminine are not therapy and do not intend to replace therapy, infer diagnosis, or be the limit of support. Having a therapist while you explore the challenges of the current times is recommended, as these topics may bring unexpected emotions to the surface that our groups may not be able to help you contain or process as needed.

Confidentiality

While not required by law, my company policy is to maintain the confidentiality of the individuals seeking support through these services. While group policies will indicate the same, confidentiality from fellow group participants cannot be guaranteed.

I take measures to ensure third-party telecommunication applications utilized in providing these services follow standard guidelines of privacy, however confidentiality may not be guaranteed.

Session Structure

Coaching and consultation sessions lasts 60 minutes, while event duration is defined specifically for each service. I plan to be prompt and prepared at the start time of our time together, however, if I am late for any reason, I will make up the time. If you are late for any reasons, however, our session will still have to end on time. If you are late by 25 minutes or more, I reserve the right to cancel our session with no refund available.

Coaching sessions are heavily driven by the material you bring in, including your goals, desires, or where you feel stuck in determining or exploring either.

Cancelations

If you need to cancel or reschedule a coaching or consultation appointment or your event booking, please do so 48 hours prior to the scheduled start time. No refunds will be issued in the following instances:

  • Cancelations that occur within the 48-hour window before scheduled start time

  • Not having effective technology and a safe space to conduct the appointment or event at the scheduled time

  • Not arriving at all for your booked services or being late to a session by 25 minutes or more, as this will negatively impact our quality of time

Group Rules

Group rules may be adjusted based on the mutual consent of group participants at the time of the group session. General guidelines include:

  • Treating group members and facilitators with respect and dignity

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your group members

  • Heeding the boundaries of group members who may choose not to share

  • Ensuring a private space for yourself to participate virtually without interruption

  • Avoiding speaking over one another

The Use of Technology

As stated above, while I take measures to ensure third-party telecommunication applications utilized in providing these services follow standard guidelines of privacy, confidentiality may not be guaranteed.

I will do my best to ensure my internet connection is stable and reliable. In the event we are unable to connect effectively (i.e. experiencing frequent "freezes," drops, or audio interruptions), an alternative method of contact (i.e. phone) will be discussed or the session may need to be rescheduled.

The following are policies related to the use of technology for services on behalf of the client:

  • Ensure you have a private and safe space to talk on a personal and secured network; somewhere you feel comfortable and cannot be overheard or interrupted by others.

  • Avoid engaging in dangerous and/or distracting activities while signing on and participating in our session or event. I won't meet virtually with anyone driving a car, for example.

  • Do engage in grounding activities, such as coloring, doodling, stretching, walking, or using a fidget toy during our session or event, if you find them helpful, but avoid multitasking with distracting tasks, such as shopping, working, and texting. As stated above, this also includes driving and other risky activities that require your full attention.

  • At the time of our session or event, ensure the device you're using (laptop, tablet, phone) is as close to your WiFi router as possible. A site like speedtest.net will help you determine if your WiFi is strong enough to carry our video session. Upload speeds are recommended to be 10 Mbps or higher.

  • The fewer devices using WiFi at the same time will improve your experience as well, so if you're sharing your connection with someone using a lot of bandwidth in the next room (video games, streaming, etc.), your speed may become slow. This also means turning off the WiFi on your nearby phone if you’re meeting with me on your laptop or tablet.

  • If you're using a phone or tablet, you will need to download the Zoom app for iOS or Android.

  • If you're using your laptop or computer for sessions, you can use the web-based link sent via email and avoid downloading any programs. But please ensure you're opening the video link in your Chrome browser.

  • In lieu of a commute back home or change in environment, do something to ritualize the end of our session or event before integrating back into your space. This can include taking a walk, journaling, drawing, dancing, meditating, etc.
